Day 1:
Spartanburg, SC to Wytheville, VA – A Motown Christmas & Lunch at the Wohlfahrt Haus.

 

Our festive adventure begins as we depart from Spartanburg, SC, and Marion, NC, setting off on a scenic drive to Wytheville, VA. Our first holiday stop is the renowned Wohlfahrt Haus, where we will enjoy a performance of “A Motown Christmas.” The legendary sounds of Motown will fill the air, as we watch talented performers take the stage.

 

Before the performance, indulge in a scrumptious four-course meal—served by none other than the talented cast members of the show. The afternoon promises great food, incredible music, and a wonderful start to the holiday season. Afterward, we'll make our way to Staunton, VA, where we'll overnight and prepare for the next leg of our festive journey.

Day 2:
Wytheville, VA to Bethlehem, PA – Christmas City, USA (Movie: Miracle in Bethlehem)

 

Bethlehem, PA. is known as Christmas City USA. On our drive there, we’ll be treated to a heartwarming movie set in this very city, Miracle in Bethlehem. We'll enjoy lunch together on the way.

We’ll check into the historic Four-Diamond Hotel Bethlehem, named the #1 historic hotel in the nation by *USA Today* for four consecutive years. Decorated with over 35,000 lights, this beautiful place will amaze you beyond description.. After arriving and checking in (Luggage handling is included here), you will have time to enjoy some of the hotel's many entities. Indulge in a sweet treat at the hotel's candy or ice cream stores. We'll gather again for our next highlight...

 

“"Bethlehem By Night” has been voted, “The Best Way to See Bethlehem.” Our step-on guide, dressed in 1700's period attire will bring the city's 280 years of Christmas heritage to life with jokes, stories and great information about the beauty of Bethlehem at Christmas.. The main streets of the city sparkle with thousands of lights, decorated trees and candle-lighted windows.

Day 3:
Bethlehem, PA to Essex, CT - to Hartford, CT – Lunch at Griswold /North Pole Express/Holiday Train Show (Movie: Next Stop Christmas)

 

Today, we head to Essex, CT, to visit the exquisitely decorated Griswold Inn, where the movie Christmas at Pemberly Manor was filmed. The inn opened in 1776 and has a unique collection of Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 firearms, marine art, and original art from painters such as Norman Rockwell. We'll enjoy an amazing three course lunch at Griswold Inn. 

 

Afterward, we’ll take in the incredible Holiday Train Show, featuring miniature holiday villages and landscapes, all brought to life in a charming display.

As dusk approaches, we’ll take a magical ride aboard the North Pole Express. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their jolly elves will join us on this festive train journey, where the holiday spirit is alive and well. While on the train, we'll enjoy caroling as we sip hot cocoa and more seasonal delights. 

This was the location of the movie Next Stop Christmas, a fun story about time-travel. It featured Back To The Future’s Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson. 

 

The magic of Christmas is everywhere in Essex!

 

After the train ride, we'll head to East Hartford, CT for dinner (on your own) and our overnight in East Hartford, CT.

Day 4: (Movie - One Royal Holiday)

East Hartford, CT & Woodstock, CT –

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we embark on a short drive to Woodstock, CT, where we'll experience the locations featured in the heartwarming movie One Royal Holiday. The Inn at Woodstock Hill, where much of the film was set, will be our lunch spot, offering a cozy atmosphere for a delicious meal. (included) JUST ADDED! A visit to The Christmas Barn (also in the movie). The Christmas Barn has been called one the best Christmas Shopping places in New England. We'll drive by Chris Mark Castle, also featured in the movie as the royal residence.  After dinner (on your own) we'll overnight once again in East Hartford., CT.

Day 5 and 6: (Movie - Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane)

Wethersfield, CT & Stockbridge, MA

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll journey to Wethersfield, CT, to visit the Heirloom Market, where you can pick up your very own heirloom seeds to plant your own holiday memories. At this marketplace and café, you can grab lunch (on your own) and shop their 1100 varieties of heirloom seeds.

​

We’ll also pass by the Silas Robbins House. Both of these landmarks were featured in the movie Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane.

 

Get ready for ANOTHER highlight of our tour: a visit to the picturesque town of Stockbridge, MA, Norman Rockwell’s beloved hometown. Shortly after arriving in Stockbridge, we’ll enjoy the Unicorn Theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol.  

 

We'll grab dinner and overnight in Lenox, MA.

The next day is quite a treat. This charming New England town of Stockbridge is transformed for one day each holiday season to recreate Rockwell’s famous painting Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas. 

 

You’ll be transported back in time as more than 30 vintage cars line the streets, and Victorian carolers fill the air with their merry songs. 

 

Take a leisurely stroll through the beautifully decorated town, where shops offer the perfect holiday souvenirs. Don’t miss the special church youth concert or the chance to ride a horse-drawn wagon through the winter landscape.

 

After dinner, when the sun sets, we’ll make a return trip to a sight to behold Stockbridge at Christmas after dark. Main Street at Night is truly spectacular, with many calling it "An Adorable Little Town Full of Christmas Ambiance."

 

We'll overnight again in Lenox, MA. and prepare to continue our festive journey.

Day 7: ALL NEW - ADDED DAY in NEW YORK City (Movie - Miracle on 34th Street)

Lenox, MA to New York City – Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular -

 

Our final leg of the journey takes us to the bright lights of New York City! We’ll arrive just in time for the legendary Radio City Christmas Spectacular, featuring the world-famous Rockettes. After the show, enjoy some free time to explore the iconic Christmas sights of NYC: visit the famous ice skating rink and Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, or stroll through 

St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

 

Don't forget to grab a slice of authentic New York pizza and indulge in a piece of classic cheesecake from Junior's. Take in the festive atmosphere and, of course, enjoy some last-minute shopping at NYC's world-renowned stores.

As we begin our journey home, we'll overnight in Maryland.

New York City to Home – The Perfect End to a Perfect Tour

 

As our magical journey comes to a close, we’ll enjoy a group breakfast and farewell lunch before heading home, with unforgettable memories from our holiday adventure. From the magical lights of Bethlehem to the festive charm of Stockbridge, to the holiday excitement of the Big Apple, this Christmas Tour has something for everyone. Q - Where are Pick-up points?
A - Spartanburg SC (Walmart Dorman Center) and Marion, NC (Walmart)

Q - How much luggage may I bring?
A - One large suitcase - (no more than 45 lbs), and a carry-on that will either go under your seat or in the area above you, and a purse or small laptop bag.

Q - May I bring a child/grandchild?
A - Yes. They should be at least 10 years old.  (Discount of $250 per child applies)

Q - Will I receive more information?
A - Yes. A couple of weeks before departure, you will receive an information letter and uggage tag(s) for your large suitcase. Please do not place any luggage under the motorcoach.

Q - When is my balance due?
A - Deposits guarantee your place on the tour. Final balance is due 45 days from departure date. (On this Christmas Tour, balance must be received by October 20)

Q - How is seating on the motorcoach determined?
A - Those who pay in full first are given first consideration regarding seating. Special needs are given consideration as much as is possible. This Christmas will involved a good deal of walking.  We can usually place eectric scooters under the motorcoach on a first-request basis. 

Q -  What happens if I miss the motorcoach at the pick-up location for departure, or while on the tour?
A - Our schedule demands that we stay on time.  Frankly, it's not fair for the group to wait on one or two people who are running late. We suggest you make plans to be on the motorcoach at least 15 minutes before its departure time to ensure you are not left out. In the case of a missing traveler on the motorcoach, we'll attempt to call once. Afterwards, it will be up to the traveler to find transportation to the next destination.

Q - Are there rest stops or meal breaks planned along the route?
A - Absolutely. Even though there is a restroom on board, we try to find adequate restrooms every two hours or so.  Unless we notify our travelers otherwise, we include breakfast - either at the hotel, or we purchase it at a nearby restaurant. On this Christmas tour, breakfast is included each morning. Several other meals are usually included. Travelers will be 

Q - What is it like to travel on a motorcoach?
A - What's not to love? Someone else having to deal with traffic. There are games, movies, and lots of laughter on board. Take a nap, play games on your laptop or phone, or listen to your favorite podcasts or music  (You must use headphones for this). There's Wi-Fi on board and power outlets at each seat.  The motorcoach has excellent heating and air conditioning to make the trip as comfortable as possible. It's recommended that you keep a sweater, light jacket or blanket with you on board if you are a little cold natured. Feel free to bring a pillow on board as well.

Q - What safety measures are taken?
A - For cleanliness, the motorcoach is sanitized before we depart. All of the rails and hand-grabs are wiped daily with antibaterial wipes. The restroom is cleaned daily. While traveling, we ask that no one stand or move about the motorcoach (except when going to the restroom). Motorcoach is equiped with a fire extenguisher and first aid kit.
